What’s New & Exciting

November 25, 2009

It seems like new and exciting things are happening at BMR Acres all the time. Every time we turn around, we are in the midst of initiating a new event, class or program at the farm. It’s very exciting!
We started out have just a couple of simple events, a shearing day when people were invited to come the farm and watch us shear the alpacas. The other event was National Alpaca Weekend, a chance for people to come to the farm to see close up what alpacas are all about. Why stop there?
The past few months we have held Reiki/Animal Reiki Levels I & II Classes. The classes are taught by Reiki Practitioner and Instructor Mary Gillen. These classes have been a great success and we plan on continuing those throughout the year with a break of course during the really cold months. There are still a couple of Reiki courses you can sign up for during November and December. For dates and course specifics be sure to check out our calendar on our website at www.bmracres.com. You can also contact Mary Gillen at maryenergywork@gmail.com or give her a call at 315-298-3045 for more specifics.
Two new additions to our classes are a Beginner Spinning and Beginner Felting course. Both of these courses are offered by Fibre Artist Elizabeth Moldenhauer. She runs and owns Fibre Heart Orginals. I was lucky enough to meet Elizabeth at a craft show in DeWitt this past fall. After talking and realizing we both had “fiber in our blood,” we put together some dates for classes. Classes are filling up fast so don’t delay to sign up. There are two remaining classes in November and December. Again check out our calendar on our website at www.bmracres.com. You can sign up for a spinning or felting class at BMR Acres with Elizabeth by calling 315-214-8355 or email her at emoldenhauer@twcny.rr.com
A portion of all classes at BMR Acres benefits Divine Nature at BMR Acres, Inc. Wildlilfe Rehabilitation & Education.
